Weekend Shenanigans Vol. 5

Well hello there Monday.
I'm linking back up with Sami for my crazy weekend shenanigans.

This weekend was my absolute favorite weekend of 2013 thus far. It was our mini vaca to Tampa,Clearwater & Orlando. By "our" I mean Josh & I of course. Hey Josh!

I'll go ahead & warn you that this post will have a lot of pictures! You're welcome!

We we're on the road by 6 with my iPhone & cajun boiled peanuts in hand. Whats a road trip without peanuts? It isn't one thats what it is.

We finally arrived around 9:30, checked into our hotel, changed and headed out to watch the Gator Basketball game. After driving around for what seemed like forever trying to find BW3's we ended up at Tilted Kilt.

You know what's so amazing about this guy? He doesn't complain too often about how many pictures I take with him in them. I was super excited about this full length mirror in our hotel room. I wanted to pack it in my bags & hang it on my wall.

Our plans were to be at the park by 10:00 but someone forgot to set her second alarm for the weekend. Oops! So of course everything went down hill from there. I had an issue with my season pass & we were late for our safari tour. Luckily we were able to reschedule the tour for noon and I'm so glad we did because that was my favorite part of the day.

We were in the bed of a truck and were able to be up close & personal with these giraffes!
We even fed them lettuce.

How exciting is this! Just me? Oh well ok then. Moving right along.
Bye bye giraffes! {thats for Josh}

Of course we had to re-enact our excited/scared faces from the roller coaster. Don't let Josh's facial expression fool you. This guy poses for every picture shot they take of you! He's a pro I tell ya.

This gorilla looks a little too proud to be standing next to me.

Why would you walk to the front of the park when you can just take the skyride?
I'm ready to go back. Want to do it again next weekend?

We had dinner reservations at 7 to watch the sunset but traffic was a bish. What kind of ending to our day would it be if we weren't late? Clearwater was GORGEOUS! I wouldn't mind picking up my life and moving there. As long as I could bring my family and friends with me.
We stopped to get a few pictures of the this breath-taking view.
Guppy's on the Beach {across from the beach} was where we ate dinner.
The sangria was amazing, the wooden spoon was HUGE!
I think Josh was a little excited over that spoon. Looks like I need to find one for his kitchen!
After dinner we drove to the end of the Gulf then ended up at Hard Rock Casino.
We both won. Win win for all! We probably were there for a good 15 minutes and most of that was walking to find the Wheel of Fortune machine to spin the wheel.

This was our Easter goodie since we wouldn't be home with our families this year. I ate the ears... as for the rest well I was sleeping and it was gone by morning. Shame on you J!!

Sunday! Back to Clearwater for lunch at Columbia. Of course apple maps sucks! Took us to some nice house 1.5 miles from where we should've been. Luckily there were open tables outside {exactly where we wanted to be} & we were sat as soon as we walked in.

Who goes to the Columbia & doesn't order the pitcher of sangria?
Not us! The best sangria around I tell ya!

What kind of blogger would I be if I didn't take pictures of our food?
This was from Saturday and Sunday.

We ended our time in Tampa at the Cigar City Brewing with a tour. I was there for support since I don't really like beer too much. I'm a wine kind of gal. Classy of course!

Josh thought it would be faster to go home I4 by 30 minutes until a crazy passenger suggests we stop at Sea World. All I wanted to do was ride the 2 roller coasters and leave. Until we missed our turn and ended up at the dolphin nursey. Growing up dolphins were ALWAYS my favorite.

I seriously have no idea how I got so lucky by meeting Josh.
I'm so glad he's in my life.
Thank you Josh for such a wonderful weekend with you.
I can't wait to do it all again soon!

Hope y'all have a great weekend and spent lots of time with your family on Easter Sunday!
