Not Me! Monday

Here it is Monday again! After being off work for the past 4 days I have a lot of what I didn't do this week. Luckily for me I only have 2 1/2 days of work this week!! Thats something to be very happy about. So what did you now do this week?

Here goes nothing....

This was not my first Christmas not having my brothers and sisters at my parents house. We did not all pack our presents and head to Starke to be with my sister and her husband along with Haley on Christmas morning to see what Santa brought! Haley was not excited at all over her new kitchen, easel, tickle me Elmo, and all her food that she got. Her reaction to pulling everything out of her stocking was not ridiculously cute and I seriously did not capture it on camera.

I did not spend 6 hours at the St. Johns Town Center the day after Christmas to see what great deals they had. I found such great deals and almost spent all my money on 4 items from Target. What the heck!!! I thought all the stores were supposed to be having this fabulous sale since the economy is so bad.

See this 38mm revolver?

I am not the proud owner of it at all!!!!! I certainly cannot wait to go to the shooting range with it to try her out! Now I need to hurry and get my application in the mail for the Concealed Weapons License!

Since AJ got me the iTouch for Christmas I have not downloaded almost every application there is to download. I found this awesome application called iFood and since I love to bake I did not find this yummy dessert and I certainly did not make this on Saturday. I mean how can anyone want to bake anymore after eating so much junk this season? Well this dessert was calling my name. Brownie S'mores!!! It was so easy to make. I won't be posting the recipe because I know nobody wants to try it out.

And last but certainly not least I am not going to Philly on Wednesday to be with AJ for New Years! I have not checked the weather every time I got on the internet to see if it was going to snow. I'm not completely excited about it snowing Friday & Saturday while I'm there! AGHHH!!! Now only if the weather channel is correct. Hello people I'm not excited because I live in Florida & it's been 70+ degrees here the past week or two. I'm ready for the cold & to be bundled up!

I probably will be posting while I'm up north since I hardly ever see AJ and his family but I definitely will not be checking everyone's blog because I'm not completely consumed with your lives!

Now go on over to MckMama's blog to read more Not Me Mondays! It'll help you relieve stress of what you did not do!
Happy New Year everyone and God Bless!

For the past 2 months I've received Glamour magazine. I've never subscribed to it before and have no idea who subscribed me but I wanted to say thank you! The first time I received it in the mail I thought it was by mistake until I saw my name printed on it. Then I got to thinking it was another magazine-(Lucky) way of getting me to pay to continue to received them. But since this is month number 2 of getting them I guess it was just a present! So to my mystery subscriber, thank you very much for my subscription of daily reading of Glamour Magazine!

CHANGING THE WORLD- one pair at a time

The 50,000 Pairs in 50 Days Challenge

Have you heard about Shoes4Souls? Well this Christmas season they are trying to raise 50,000 pairs of shoes in 50 days. It's simple and you can help. Visit www.shoes4souls.com and donate anywhere from $5-whatever amount you feel God having you to donate. So far I've donated $15.00 which pays for 7 pairs of shoes. Each pair of shoes cost $2.50. How amazing is that. I wish every pair of shoes I've ever bought cost that much. But imgaine not being able to afford 1 pair of shoes and how cold your bare feet would be in this weather. If you feel a tugging at your heart please visit this website and donate whatever you can.

But thats not all ya'll!!! There's a contest over at KingdomTwindom's blog and you can help me win this fabulous prize!!! Sarah is the proud designer of this Snackin' Pack that would definitely come in handy for my *favorite* niece Haley. She's also giving away a $10 Target gift card and since I do a lot of my shopping there it would help me out a lot!!!

Oh wait but make sure you go to Sarah's blog and tell her how you found out about this contest! Make sure you include my name!!!

Sarah and all her blogger friends have put together The Frugality Project to help YOU save money. But the only one to earn one of these is to go on over to her blog and also donate to the Shoes4Souls cause. It's just that simple ya'll! Make someone happy with a pair of shoes and earn yourself a book of ways to save!

Not Me Monday!

It's that time again. Time to be brutally honest with yourself and others. So go on and head over to MckMama's blog to read more and get the best laugh you had all week!

This past Monday my boss and I did not spot a man who looked just like the man who has been robbing local businesses at the beach. We did not call Jacksonville Beach Police in hopes that this man was the man who has been robbing those businesses for 6 weeks and getting away with it. We were also not hoping that we would get the $1000 reward. We still have not heard if the guy is still on the run but hasn't hit any businesses lately that I know of.

I'm not excited that I have the worst migraine on the Earth right now. I have not taken a 3 hour nap today to get rid of this migraine and I have not already taken 4 Excedrin's that certainly have helped me so far. Seriously people I'm dying over here with this migraine.

Today I did not finish my shopping for Christmas gifts. my dad is not hard to buy for at all. He doesn't have everything that he needs because he doesn't get it in his head that he needs something and he certainly wouldn't go out to buy it that same very day. Maybe the new rule in my family should not be that the entire month of December you can buy for yourself.

Today in Family Dollar some lady wouldn't dare push her husband in line to make sure I would skip them. There wasn't only one lane open during the last 4 days before Christmas knowing people are out buying the last little bit they can. I still did not check out before he did because another lane opened! I did not chuckle inside because his wife did not push him in front of me.

I wouldn't ever take my mom to Olive Garden for lunch on a Saturday. That's the day all the crazy people are out and complaining about something. I'm serious you guys. There was a lady with her daughter and mother who were sitting across from where we were sitting. The salad did not have enough croutons, tomatoes, black olives or dressing on it. The waiter did not try to clean a dirty bowl and continue to place it in front of the lady. She then started to complain about everything. So how can you not continue to look at her with all that complaining. That lady did not ask her mom if she looked interesting because she was about to kill her two blondes. My mom did not tell me this as we were walking out to the car and I did not want to go back in and tell the manager who was now at her table that she threatened out lives. And I'm not kidding about this! Everything was wrong with this ladies order to her at least. She did not get to eat her salad because once the waiter brought her all the extras she asked for her meal came so she threw her new salad bowl into the big salad bowl for the whole table and said, "well great what am I going to eat now." Does she know that there's homeless people who would fight over that food.

Now that I've been completely honest with you head on over for a few more laughs. Hope everyone's Monday goes by fast. Christmas will only be here in 3 short days!

I was tagged by Sarah for a picture tag. Here are the rules:

This picture was taken the night before Haley's 2nd birthday party. She was writing her friends thank you cards that had Mickey Mouse on them and also watching FRIENDS. 4) Tag 4 people to do the sameNO CHEATING! (cropping, editing, etc!)

Amish Friendship Bread

For the past 7 -9 years my mom and I always bake Friendship Bread. It takes 10 days to make this bread and we cannot wait until that 10th day to start baking. We put all kinds of yummy treats in the bread to make them so much healthier tastier to eat. Last Wednesday night while I took my CWC (Concealed Weapon Class) she made about 39 loaves of bread. Tonight we made only 8 loaves and set a started bag away to make again a few days down the road. I'm telling you we LOVE to bake. If you can't tell by the containers of goodies we have for the rest of the month.

And here's the friendship bread in the oven.

Lets just say my house smells so good. Maybe we should start a bakery here right out of the house. I can decorate cakes/cupcakes and well as bake with my mom. What fun!

Haley Rose is turning 2!

Happy Birthday Haley!

Haley Rose was born exactly one year after my Grand Daddy passed away and what JOY she has brought to our family! She weighed 8 pounds 4 ounces and a great set of lungs. I can't believe she is turning 2 today! She calls me "Enna" and loves for us to go shopping. YIKES! That may be bad in the long run but she is my favorite niece. She's my only niece and I love her so much. She loves to dress up, play in her princess tent, put makeup on, "drive" my car (its parked don't worry), wear my jewelry, hide things from me, bake, etc...! I love her sweet voice and precious smile! Her laugh is contagious. I pray that God will mold her into the woman she will be one day. But not too fast. I love you Haley Rose!

I think she's about 10 months old here. Time sure has flown by so quickly.

This was taken a few weeks ago at the Steakhouse in Starke.

And this was taken at her birthday party last weekend

Tis the season to bake

Whats been baking in your oven? My mom said she would not bake again until Wednesday! So what do I hear when I get home from work on Tuesday? Yep thats right she wanted to bake like 4 different desserts. If you want the recipes let me know and I can email them to you. First we started off making Eggnog Bread (non-alcoholic)with candied cherries, then onto Sweet Potato muffins with raisins, next it was off to making a sweet snack of pretzels and peanuts drizzled with white chocolate, and lastly we made Neiman Marcus cookies!

When it comes to my momma in the kitchen she cannot resist! So me being the best helper ever with adding and stirring all the ingredients we baked our butts off! Now tomorrow since AJ's mom gave me a starter bag to make more friendship bread we'll be in the kitchen again making all kinds of yummy treats! Here's a few pictures of what we made tonight.

What have you baked lately?

Not Me Monday!

This week AJ did not fly into Jacksonville to celebrate mine and his birthday plus Christmas! Who still celebrates their birthday a week later and Christmas a week early. Not me! And AJ's flight did not arrive 2 hours late having me drive to the airport around midnight and then going to work the next morning. I was not tired at all on Friday and still have not caught up on my sleep. I can not wait to go to bed tonight.

I was not surprised when AJ got me the itouch for Christmas! I am not having so much fun playing with it either! I did not play games today at work and I certainly did not show it off at work!

We did not eat La Nopelra's 2 days in a row. Why would I want to eat Mexican knowing I'm lactose intolerant.

Haley did not pull on her stocking that was on a stocking holder to only have the holder come down and nail her in her sweet little forehead! My sister did not freak out having to take Haley to the Emergency Room the night before her birthday party only to have her head glued! Thank God she did not have to get stitches! We also seriously have not made it a year without Haley having a bruise on her head during Christmastime! Is this how every Christmas will be?

Haley also did not grab a Mickey Mouse cupcake from the stove and start singing to herself, "Happy birthday to me" and it was not the cutest thing I saw all weekend! Too bad my camera was not close by to catch a picture of her!

Haley also is not loved at all by so many people! She did not have a lot of people at her party who brought her so many gifts. Jamie's house did not look like Christmas for about 15 people.

I also am not excited about MckMama's Rebel For a Cause where we have raised over $19,000! That is not amazing to me and I could care less about it. I can't wait to hear who won the MckRebel prize!!!!

Now its your turn! Time to be brutally honest with yourself and others who read your blog. Go ahead you know you want to join in on the fun! I waited all day to get off work to write my Not Me's! I look forward to every Monday thanks to MckMama!

Monkey Bread Recipe

***LAST UPDATE***
Picture of the yummy bread... keep scrolling!

***UPDATE***
The bread is ready but it still has to warm and I know of a few people who want this recipe so I'll update again a little later with the baked yummy treat!

Here's the recipe Mrs. Stimler put in First Baptist Church of Jacksonville, Fl cookbook! If you have not made this monkey bread before I have to say its a must! My mom makes this bread every Christmas morning along with a whole lot of other yummy breakfast foods. Its simple and fun to make. Even those who have small children will love making this bread!

Ingredients:

4 cans of refrigerated biscuits
3/4 cups of pecans, chopped
3 tablespoons sugar
3 tablespoons cinnamon
1 cup brown sugar
1 stick of butter

Preheat over to 350 degrees. Grease bundt pan; place nuts in bottom of pan. Combine sugar and cinnamon. Cut the biscuits into fourths and roll in cinnamon-sugar mixture. Place biscuits on top of nuts. Melt brown sugar and butter. Pour over top of biscuits. Bake for 25-30 minutes. Carefully invert on plate to serve warm.

Here's the finished yummy treat! Please enjoy and eat up with a glass of milk!

Not Me! Monday

Yes, it's that time again! It's midnight and that means it's officially Monday! And what could be better than getting a load off your chest--free therapy at it's funniest!? It's Not Me! Monday.

This week it was not my 23rd birthday and we did not celebrate. My mom did not make a chocolate fudge double layer cake 2 times this week for me. I did not eat 2 pieces of my birthday week plus a whole bunch of cookies my co-workers made for me. I also did not get a bouquet of flowers from my ex-sister-in-law. They are not really pretty at all... see!

When my family was singing "Happy birthday to me" my almost 2 year old niece Haley did not blow out my candle. When she heard us all laughing she did not start to cry because it scared her and she doesn't like to be laughed at. Seriously, it's not nice to laugh at someone!

I also am not excited about getting my concealed weapons license on Wednesday. I'm actually not thrilled about shooting the bulls eye at the end of class.

Oh, and I most certainly did not give to these three charities (String of Pearl, Elison Project and No Hands But Ours) last week through MckMama's blog. I can't wait to see how much money we helped raise for those charities. Honestly!

I did not watch endless episodes of CSI with my dad everyday this week when I got home from work. And I'm certainly not watching CSI as I'm writing my Not Me! Monday post.

I also did not get dressed for the day on Sunday because all I wanted to do was relax. I did not stay in my pj's all day and took a few naps in between eating. Who cares if I'm still celebrating my birthday! It was only on Saturday that I turned 23.

I did not receive my first blog award from Stacie and get so excited about it I blogged a little about how I felt. Thank you again Stacie and I'm still praying for your family.

Perhaps you'll consider playing along with MckMama's blog carnival this week. Being brutally honest and living to tell about it was never so much fun! Write your own post, link back to MckMama's blog, sign up on Mr. Linky, and read everyone else's posts (Which, I promise, will make you laugh until you wet your pants and breathe a sigh of relief that everyone is at least a little abnormal.) Please read this for detailed instructions on how to play.
